Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

Position Overview: The Retail Sales Associate plays a crucial role in driving sales of various merchandise, including leather products, home decor, luggage, hunting gear, clothing, and jewelry by assisting customers in their product choices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting products, ensuring they receive exceptional service both in-store and over the phone.
  • Utilize effective up-selling and cross-selling techniques to enhance customer experience.
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting and acknowledging every customer.
  • Exhibit comprehensive product knowledge, including usage and maintenance.
  • Stay informed about current promotions, sales, and marketing campaigns.
  • Support store operations by assisting with floor moves, merchandising, and maintaining store cleanliness.
  • Help with inventory management, including receiving and organizing stock.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, including pricing and loss prevention measures.
  • Accurately process sales transactions and maintain accountability for cash and media at the point of sale.
  • Communicate customer inquiries and requests to management effectively.
  • Educate customers about the history and values of King Ranch.
  • Manage the transfer and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
  • Be flexible with scheduling, working varied hours as needed.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to read and comprehend at a high school level.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics to handle product pricing, returns, and transactions.
  • Familiarity with computer systems and point-of-sale technology.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
  • Capability to read, count, and write accurately for completing necessary documentation.
  • Proficient in operating all equipment required for store operations.
  • Ability to personalize leather goods as needed.
  • Willingness to follow directions and maintain organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders and navigate multiple levels of the store.
  • Capable of lifting and handling merchandise weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons.

Work Environment: This position is based in a retail setting.

Additional Information: The ideal candidate will be a team player, open to constructive feedback, and willing to take on various tasks as assigned by management.
