Overview

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for the successful implementation of sales and promotional strategies within assigned retail locations. This role involves working closely with high-volume grocery chains and mass retailers to drive sales and ensure optimal product visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong business relationships with key decision-makers at retail locations. Collaborate with them to create actionable plans aimed at enhancing sales performance.
  • Data-Driven Sales Preparation: Analyze market data and prepare for sales calls by developing effective presentations tailored to the needs of retail partners.
  • Sales Execution: Utilize consultative selling techniques to engage with retail partners, maximizing sales opportunities and ensuring effective product placement.
  • Merchandising Excellence: Execute promotional plans and maintain product displays to meet merchandising objectives, ensuring product availability and visibility.
  • Administrative Duties: Complete and submit reports detailing sales activities, market conditions, and competitive insights using company-approved methods.
  • Strategic Development: Contribute to the development of strategies that enhance overall sales effectiveness within the assigned territory.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in sales or customer service roles.

Skills:

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to travel frequently for sales calls.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using technology for sales purposes.
  • Physical ability to lift and move products as needed.
