Position Overview:
As a Clinical Physician Assistant I, you will play a vital role in the healthcare team, collaborating closely with attending physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat patients. Your focus will be on promoting the overall health and wellbeing of individuals through preventive care and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations and examinations, utilizing established protocols to ensure comprehensive patient care.
2. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, histories, and physical findings in the medical records.
3. Medication Management: Prescribe medications in accordance with state guidelines and organizational policies, ensuring patient safety and adherence to best practices.

Leadership and Collaboration:
Demonstrate leadership qualities by effectively solving problems, maintaining accountability, and functioning as a resource for team members. Act as a patient advocate and support new employees through preceptorship.

Compliance and Safety:
Assist in ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, including JCAHO and OSHA. Participate in safety drills and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Quality Improvement:
Engage in performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and service quality. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to data collection for audits.

Communication:
Facilitate effective communication with healthcare providers and patients to ensure a seamless flow of care. Maintain problem and medication lists, and coordinate consultations as necessary.

Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
Licenses & Certifications: Required certifications include PALS, ACLS, NAT COMM CERT PHY ASSIST, and BLS.
