The Technical Partner provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN.
Essential Job Functions- Deliver Direct and Indirect Patient Care: Provide patient care in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of care.
- Perform Patient Care Needs: Assist patients with activities of daily living, respond to call lights, and collect, document, and report ongoing patient care data.
- Transport Patients: Transport patients as directed, and perform skills such as vital sign measurement, heating pad application, and suction equipment setup.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Make regular rounds to address patient needs, communicate with healthcare providers, and participate in the educational process to promote patient health and well-being.
- Report and Document: Report to the RN/LPN information regarding patient readiness to learn, and maintain accurate records of patient care.
- Participate in Performance Improvement: Participate in unit performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and customer service.
- Assist with Data Collection: Assist in data collection processes as requested, and recommend modifications for performance improvement.
- Lead by Example: Demonstrate leadership by utilizing the behaviors inherent to the role of the technical partner, and maintain accountability for actions taken.
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or higher level of education.
- Experience: Completion of a Nurse Aide or comparable program, or prior experience in a related field.
- Skills: Sound judgment, problem-solving skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to follow directions from other team members.
- Certification: Nurse Aide certification.
- Experience: Patient care experience, computer skills, Phlebotomy, EKG experience, or current nursing student with clinical experience.
- Clearances: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program, Act 33 with renewal, Act 34 with renewal, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkIncumbent will be scheduled based on operational need, and may be required to rotate shifts, work standby, or be on-call.
