At Helzberg Diamonds, the Jewelry Photography Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the Photographer by managing the organization, planning, and preparation necessary for capturing high-quality images of various jewelry items.

This position is integral in overseeing the intricate details of jewelry photography, acting as a bridge between internal teams such as Merchandising and Distribution, and providing support in all facets that enhance the photography workflow.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Distribution, Merchandising, and product suppliers to gather and arrange jewelry for forthcoming photo sessions.
  • Distribute daily and weekly schedules.
  • Notify relevant parties of any alterations to the schedule.
  • Procure necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Streamline the workflow among the photographer, retouching team, and file management.
  • Assist in the setup of props, cameras, lighting, and other essential equipment.
  • Provide creative and technical suggestions to the photographer as required.
  • Maintain and clean all photographic equipment.
  • Ensure the security of all jewelry items during the photography process.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certification or diploma in photography or a related field.
  • Two to four years of relevant experience as a photography assistant is preferred.
  • Inherently creative with a keen eye for color and aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with professional camera systems and lighting setups.
  • Basic understanding of contemporary photography techniques.
  • Strong listening and communication abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Consistent and reliable onsite attendance is essential for performing key functions that involve collaboration with colleagues and managers, handling equipment, and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
