About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our facilities services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service in our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective infection prevention practices to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Monitor and improve quality of services rendered, ensuring they meet desired outcomes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, exceeding patient expectations in cleanliness and service.
  • Foster positive relationships with staff and patients, promoting a high level of internal customer satisfaction.
  • Drive operational outcomes, aligning with site and/or system scope of service.
  • Coordinate department operations, including staffing, workflow, and throughput, to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage departmental resources, minimizing waste and ensuring financial accountability.
  • Perform human resources responsibilities, including coaching, performance reviews, and staff morale.
  • Ensure compliance with the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and policies.

Requirements:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
  • High School Graduate.
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in environmental services, with prior leadership experience in a similar setting.
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and basic computer skills.
