Position: Insurance Support Specialist
Location: Melville, NY
Department: Commercial Services (Auto Dealer Division)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and endorsements in accordance with company guidelines
- Prepare necessary insurance documentation, including certificates, endorsements, loss runs, and vehicle identification cards
- Establish and maintain client service activity files, including electronic filing, scanning, and copying of required documents
- Assist with additional support tasks as needed
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to prepare applications
- Adhere to all internal protocols while ensuring service performance and quality standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to achieve related objectives as necessary
Qualifications:
- Preferred: One year of experience in an insurance agency, though not mandatory
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and follow instructions from various Account Managers and Producers
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in data entry and formatting within Microsoft Excel
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a team
- Occasional travel between offices for mandatory meetings or training may be required
- Preferred educational background: College degree
- Brokers license is required and can be obtained upon hiring
