CornerStone Professional Placement is partnering with a leading financial advisory firm to find a skilled Lending Specialist to join their team in Fort Worth, TX. If you have experience in loan sales, processing, or underwriting and SBA or commercial lending knowledge, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of applicant financial data to assess their qualification for loan programs
  • Provide lenders with assessments and recommendations regarding borrower eligibility for preliminary approval
  • Ensure high-quality client support, maintaining clear and timely communication with all relevant parties throughout the process
  • Handle 3-5 consultants daily, with the goal of getting the caller a pre-approval letter by the end of the call
  • Transfer callers with pre-approvals letter to the Funding Specialist to close the deal
  • Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service to clients via email and phone
  • Work with clients starting up small businesses and franchises

Requirements:

  • A degree in business, finance, or a related field, or relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Strong understanding of commercial lending processes, including reviewing financial statements, credit assessments, and cash flow evaluations
  • Ability to analyze financial reports, tax filings, and other financial documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a finance or lending context
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service
  • Proficient in business writing and professional correspondence
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • 2+ years of experience in loan processing, underwriting, or sales, especially in SBA lending or a similar area
  • Open to occasional travel for business needs after going permanent
