Position Overview

Butler County Community College is seeking part-time Instructors for the EMS Division

We are currently inviting applications for part-time Instructor roles within our EMS Division. This is a temporary position that will commence immediately.

Under the supervision of the Coordinator of EMS & Police Training, the EMS Division Instructor will be responsible for delivering educational content in EMS and/or American Heart Association courses, adhering to the qualifications outlined below:

  • American Heart Association Instructor Qualifications:
    • Verification of completion of an approved instructor course for Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
  • Emergency Medical Services Instructor Qualifications:
    • Verification of current Pennsylvania EMS Certification (EMR, EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, or PHRN).
    • Verification of current Pennsylvania EMS Instructor credential from the Department of Health, Bureau of EMS.
    • Verification of current instructor status for American Heart Association - Basic Life Support.
  • EMS Skill Instructor Qualifications:
    • Verification of current EMS Certification at the EMT level or higher.
    • A minimum of one year of practical experience as an EMS provider or in a related healthcare role.
