The Medical Coordinator will plan, track, and ensure that all clients' needs are being met within appropriate time frames. This includes scheduling all annual, follow-up, and emergency medical appointments, communicating with medical professionals, and providing accurate documentation of client medical appointments.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule client medical appointments to meet state licensing regulations
  • Monitor client status through paperwork and follow-up appointments
  • Track clients' physical care, including annual and emergency appointments
  • Provide timely and consistent documentation of client medical appointments
  • Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and medical professionals regarding clients' status
  • Cooperate with inspections, inquiries, or investigations

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Complete state and agency required training
  • Ability to establish a supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Working Conditions:
  • May be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staff
  • Frequent lifting, stretching, and physical exertion may be required
  • May be required to transport individuals using your own vehicle or company provided vehicles
  • May be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseases
