About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our infrastructure planning and delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities related to construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Collaborate with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Assist with project delivery strategies and schedules.
  • Coordinate project procurement, selection of contractors, and contract paperwork and management of changes.
  • Develop and implement quality control and safety management plans.
  • Coordinate building permit processes and compliance with codes.
  • Direct weekly construction meetings and prepare progress reports.
  • Review contractor applications for payment and recommend payment to clients.
  • Monitor and manage project costs and create cost reports for clients.
  • Coordinate punch list preparation and project close-out.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, plus seven years of relevant experience.
  • Must have a building construction/state license, 30-hour training in OSHA safety requirements, CMAA/PMI.
  • Must be highly articulate, have a clear and analytical approach to problem-solving, and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Must have strong construction estimating skills, knowledge of construction and procurement strategies, and proficiency with project scheduling software.
