Overview

At Dartmouth Health, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and a positive work environment. As a Unit Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our inpatient unit.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the front line representative of the unit, interacting with families and visitors, answering phone calls, and assisting with daily operations.
  • Coordinate with the unit leader to maintain regulatory, safety, and infection prevention standards, monitoring and intervening as necessary.
  • Ensure the unit is well-stocked and equipped with functioning equipment.
  • Utilize support systems and resources to document patient status and flow.
  • Maintain accurate and organized chart information in compliance with Health Information Services requirements.
  • Access secure medication locations for storage, handling, beyond use dating, and disposal consistent with Medication Storage and Handling Policy.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in computer skills and customer service is essential.
  • The ability to function in a fast-paced work environment with excellent organizational and prioritization skills is required.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
