Job Summary

Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Behavior Technician I to join our team. As a Behavior Technician I, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment for students with behavioral challenges.

Under the guidance of Administrators and Behavior Analysts, you will work collaboratively with school personnel to develop and implement individualized behavior plans. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the setup and monitoring of data management systems
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly environment
  • Participating in student-centered meetings
  • Assisting with arrival and departure routines
  • Serving on crisis teams as assigned

You will also be responsible for providing safety assistance in compliance with ACES safety management trainings, local, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain a strong work ethic, demonstrate excellent attendance, and record data in a timely and accurate manner.

As a Behavior Technician I, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and staff, and contribute to the development of individualized behavior plans. Requirements
  • High School graduate with two years related experience
  • Eligible for "V" endorsement for CT license (without restriction)
  • Completes RBT certification from the BACB within 10 months of hire date
  • Completes all components of ACES Safety Management Training within six-months of hire
