Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our Orthopedic team at SSM Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our orthopedic providers.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient examinations and treatments under the direction of a registered nurse or provider.
  • Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones, maintaining records, scheduling patients, and filing.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
  • Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • No experience required, but prior experience in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • One of the following certifications: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC), Medical Assistant (RMA), Medical Assistant Certification (MAC), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
