Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and kind-hearted Medication Administration Aide to join our team at St. Elizabeth Home, an Illuminus Community. As a Medication Administration Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by preparing and administering medications under the direction of RN/LPNs.

Responsibilities

* Preparing and administering medications to residents under the direction of RN/LPNs
* Supervising medication resident self-administration or performing medication reminders
* Accessing Medication Administration Record (MAR) to verify the right person, drug, dose, route, and time against the resident's record
* Appropriately documenting vital signs, interventions, or other pertinent data related to medication administration
* Maintaining resident confidentiality
* Reporting any issues to the supervising nurse
* Assisting residents with ADLs (Bathing, Dressing, Oral Hygiene, Toileting, etc.)

Requirements

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) Certification required
* Certified by the State of Wisconsin for medication administration (or ability and willingness to obtain a program with our help)
* One year of CNA experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities/Nursing Homes
* Commitment to quality programs and services for the residents/patients/clients
* Excellent communications and human relation skills
* Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information
* Ability to relate well to the residents/patients/clients, family members/personal representatives
* Ability to collaborate with all internal and external customers
