Operating Room Nurse Supervisor

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as an Operating Room Supervisor. This role requires a strong background in nursing, leadership, and communication skills.
Job Summary:The Operating Room (OR) is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment that requires a team of dedicated professionals to provide exceptional patient care. As an OR Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and ensuring that all patients receive the highest level of care.
Responsibilities:- Lead a team of nurses in the OR, ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Provide education and training to staff on new procedures and technologies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- One year of Operating Room nursing experience.
- Two years or more of direct OR Registered Nurse Supervisory experience is highly desired.
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
- RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from AHA.
- CNOR preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exhibits leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention.
- Demonstrates professionalism and ability to remain calm and lead in dynamic and busy situations.
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office and healthcare software required.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and prioritization.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other clinical staff on the unit.
