Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Trauma Level I Operating Room

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Tower Operating Room (OR). As a Trauma Level I facility, we provide high-acuity care to patients with complex needs. Our OR team is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and a positive work environment.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to work in our fast-paced, multispecialty OR. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trauma care and be able to work effectively in a team environment. The Tower OR is proud to serve as Northern Virginia's only Level 1 Trauma facility, and we are seeking a nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient OR operations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, including medication administration and wound care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and a culture of safety.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year direct Operating Room Registered Nurse experience.
  • Multi-specialty trained Operating Room nurse is highly desired.
  • Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required (AHA).
  • CNOR and Level 1 Trauma experience encouraged but not required.
