The Lead Clinical Pharmacist will play a pivotal role within an engaged team at Humana, contributing to a mission aimed at enhancing member health through effective medication management. This position is essential for the creation of innovative clinical initiatives designed to elevate health outcomes for our members while minimizing overall healthcare costs. The Lead Clinical Pharmacist will also be tasked with refining and advancing existing clinical programs that influence medical expenditures, thereby increasing overall value.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD or RPh) from an accredited institution
  • Valid and unrestricted pharmacy license

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP)
  • Experience in health outcomes research
  • Strong skills in delegation and decision-making
  • Background in clinical program analysis
  • Minimum of three years in pharmacy benefits management
  • Knowledge of managed care with the ability to provide business insights

To ensure effective remote work, employees must have a reliable internet connection meeting the following criteria:

  • Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps; wired, cable, or DSL connections are preferred.
  • Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections may be permitted with prior approval.

Employees residing and working from home in specific states will receive a bi-weekly reimbursement for their internet expenses.

Humana will provide the necessary telephone equipment to meet job requirements for remote employees.

It is essential to work from a designated area free from interruptions to safeguard member PHI / HIPAA information.

Compensation Range:

The salary range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment. Actual pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications, including skills, experience, education, and certifications. $123,800 - $170,400 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and company performance.
