Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes.
  • Clinical Expertise: Provide direct patient care, occasionally as Charge Nurse or House Supervisor, and ensure that all nursing staff are competent and equipped to deliver high-quality care.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily activities of the nursing department, prioritize tasks, and ensure that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all nursing staff adhere to regulatory requirements, report incidents of abuse, and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with management team, physicians, and other department heads to deliver quality care, lead treatment team meetings, and ensure effective communication throughout the hospital.
Requirements
  • Education: Current RN License in Good Standing and an Associate Degree in Nursing; higher level of nursing education is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years in a nursing role, preferably in a psychiatric setting, and a minimum of one year nursing supervisory experience.
  • Skills: A working knowledge of FTE Management and Joint Commission standards, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
