Job Summary

Copa Health is seeking a highly skilled Revenue Cycle Specialist II to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Claims Resolution**: Identify and resolve complex claims issues, ensuring proper follow-up on the back-end aspects of the revenue cycle process.
  • **Revenue Management**: Monitor payments, fee schedule changes, health plan reimbursement changes, and other aspects that impact revenue, cash collections, and adjustments.
  • **Collaboration**: Work closely with the Rev Cycle Manager, Billing Coordinator, and Payer to resolve billing problems and disputes, and collaborate effectively with the Rev Specialist I and other team members to ensure timely and proper reimbursements.
Core Competencies
  • **Analytical Skills**: Perform full cycle billing and collections functions, including a complex review of billing and collection activities.
  • **Communication Skills**: Interpret and analyze EOBs, remits, and payment posting entries, and communicate effectively with payers and other stakeholders.
  • **Problem-Solving Skills**: Check claim status from payers, collect on insurance accounts, and research and rectify any special circumstances resulting in delayed payments.
Requirements
  • **Education**: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED); or equivalency of education and years of experience are acceptable.
  • **Experience**: 1-2 years of experience in medical claims required; behavioral health knowledge preferred.
  • **Certifications**: Ability to obtain and maintain Level One fingerprint clearance and meet agency personnel requirements.
