Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Management
- Manage a portfolio of loan and deposit accounts, including account reviews, problem-solving, and follow-up on internal account errors.
- Interview loan applicants, gather and evaluate financial data to establish credit worthiness, and monitor customers' financial condition.
- Review and approve or deny loan requests to new or existing customers up to a predetermined limit.
- Prepare action memos for management review and present credits exceeding authority to the loan committee.
- Prospect new customers and cross-sell other banking services to new and existing customers.
- Maintain ongoing customer contact to ensure good customer relations.
- Monitor loan repayment activities and take necessary action to collect past-due accounts.
- Participate in the preparation of department budget, goals, and objectives, and strategic planning.
- 3-5 years of lending experience preferred.
- Knowledge of agriculture, commercial, and consumer lending procedures.
- Knowledge of credit structuring, general banking principles, and sales and marketing practices.
- College degree preferred.
