Job Title: Speech-Language Specialist
We are seeking a highly qualified Speech-Language Specialist to join our team at West Contra Costa USD - Richmond. As a Speech-Language Specialist, you will be responsible for providing on-going remedial services to pupils with communicative disorders.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a University degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent, and certification by the State of California or under waiver for certification in Speech, Language and Hearing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose language, speech, and hearing problems of referred students.
- Conduct Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings at least annually for all enrolled students.
- Develop materials and plans and conducts remediation for language, speech, and hearing handicapped students who are enrolled.
Requirements:
- Certificated by the State of California or under waiver for certification in Speech, Language and Hearing.
- Possession of a University degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent.
