About the Role

This position is a vital part of our team at International Leadership of Texas, providing essential support to students with speech and language disorders.

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with licensed SLPs to provide therapy services to students under their supervision.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapy services to students with speech and language disorders under the supervision of licensed SLPs.
  • Consult with colleagues, students, and parents regarding student progress and goals.
  • Assist in creating an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity level and interests of students.
  • Participate in the selection of equipment and instructional materials.
  • Support the SLP team in managing reports, records, and other documents.
  • Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and board policy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist assistant granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (TDLR).
  • Ability to use accepted tests and measurements to assess communication disorders and conditions.
  • Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders and conditions.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
