Speech Pathology Specialist

About the JobThis experienced Speech Pathologist role is an integral part of our team at VCU Health. As a seasoned therapist, you will be responsible for adapting intervention to meet specific patient needs, providing coverage in various hospital settings, and assuming leadership roles within the department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert care to patients with complex communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement treatment strategies, schedule therapy sessions, and document patient progress
- Mentor and train colleagues on clinical skills and best practices
- Masters Degree from an ASHA accredited program in Speech and Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in SLP from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in speech pathology, preferably in a hospital setting
