About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IP Network Engineer - Cisco Expert to join our team at NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IP networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues from Layer 1 to Layer 4, including routers, switches, firewalls, and packet capturing.
  • Develop and implement network architecture and design to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets business needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our network remains secure and efficient.
  • Provide expert-level support and guidance to junior team members.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a technical role, preferably in a NOC environment.
  • Intermediate-level understanding of TCP/IP concepts, common router user interfaces, and command structure.
  • Intermediate-level understanding of data/traffic flow between two endpoints.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of basic network topology for Enterprise and/or Service Provider networks.
  • Familiarity with supporting higher-level traffic flows, such as HTTP and VOIP.
  • Good skills in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNA or CCNP certification highly preferred.
  • CISSP or Security certifications (Check Point, A10) a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with routers and switches, Cisco preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, Checkpoint preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with LTM/GTM/Load Balancers, A10 preferred.
  • Basic scripting knowledge via Bash/Python.
  • Basic competency with Linux/Unix servers.
