Shift Details:
Full-Time (30+ hours/week) with weekday shifts and every third Saturday.

Clinic Hours:

M-Th 7:00am-5:30pm
F 7:00am-5:00pm

Role Responsibilities:
As a Full-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will thrive in a dynamic environment where your expertise makes a significant impact. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about animal health and are eager to utilize their knowledge effectively.

Your daily tasks will encompass patient handling and care, client communication and education, surgical monitoring and procedures, laboratory diagnostics, and maintaining hospital cleanliness. We ensure that every member of our support team is equipped with the necessary tools and training to operate efficiently in all areas of the hospital.

This program includes five face-to-face visits with a counselor per issue, per rolling 12 months, at no cost to you. It provides 24-hour access to support for various personal challenges, including mental health, family issues, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
How You'll Contribute:
- Uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of the organization.
- Guide support staff to ensure smooth shift operations.
- Mentor team members for career growth and personal development.
- Assist the hospital manager with employee performance evaluations.
- Provide patient care under the supervision of a veterinarian.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients.

Document all relevant medical, client, and case-related information accurately. Review medical records and discharge instructions with clients, addressing their inquiries with confidence and directing them to veterinarians when necessary.


Qualifications:
Skills and Attributes:
- Proficiency in a variety of skills including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Competence in administering SQ, IM, and IV injections.

Knowledge of common prescription drugs, their usage, dosage, and side effects, with the ability to explain these to clients.

Understanding of anesthesia and recovery processes, with the capability to alert veterinarians to any changes in hospitalized patients.

The ideal candidate will possess strong reasoning, memory, mathematical, and language skills necessary for performing duties proficiently. Confidence around animals is essential.
