The Dean of Students at Charter Champions will play a pivotal role in ensuring the academic and socio-emotional success of our students. Key Responsibilities- Student Support and Intervention: Provide additional support to classroom teachers, assess student needs, and apply consistent interventions to ensure students are engaged and learning.

- Cultural Leadership: Strategically create and contribute to positive norms and expectations for the classroom and school, holding oneself and others accountable to the highest standards of kindness, excellence, and positive communication.
- Ownership and Empowerment: Take daily ownership of one's own learning and the learning of students, modeling empowerment and a growth mindset even in the face of ongoing challenge.
- Execution and Analysis: Execute consistently within an ongoing continuous improvement framework, ensuring effectiveness and learning, and analyzing results daily to ensure authentic learning and progress towards goals.
- School Safety: Supervise and maintain the physical safety of students, colleagues, and families at all times, leading the documentation and communication of all disciplinary processes.
- Cultural Competence: Strong cultural competence and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse community of parents, students, and teachers.
- Communication and Collaboration: Well-established communication and collaboration skills, with a desire to work on a start-up team.
- Leadership and Feedback: Exceptional willingness to learn and lead through feedback, with a mastery of strategies proven to support trauma-informed care and effective behavioral intervention.
- Education and Experience: MA/M.Ed required, with experience working with 10-14 year olds in an urban educational setting highly desired.
- Technical Skills: Strong skills in Google productivity tools, with fluency in English required.
Charter Champions offers a competitive benefits and compensation package, including a salary scale starting at a minimum of $55,000 and increasing based on years of experience, as well as paid time off, medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) with matching contributions, and more.
