Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to oversee the pediatric respiratory therapy team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year in a leadership role and two years of recent clinical experience in pediatric acute care settings. This is a salaried position with a flexible schedule tailored to departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Leadership: Direct and manage clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective respiratory care. Collaborate with the leadership team to achieve departmental goals and work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  2. Quality Assurance: Oversee patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. Foster a culture of customer satisfaction and ensure accurate patient billing and resource utilization.
  3. Staff Management: Manage scheduling for respiratory care staff, ensuring adequate coverage and support during peak times. Engage in hands-on assistance as needed to maintain high standards of care.
  4. Critical Analysis: Evaluate and address critical situations with sound judgment. Identify safety risks and implement proactive measures to enhance patient safety.
  5. Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team-oriented environment, especially during high-pressure situations. Demonstrate leadership skills that build trust and credibility among team members.
  6. Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments of staff performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching to foster professional development.
  7. Attendance Management: Monitor and manage staff attendance records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
  8. Orientation and Training: Assist in the recruitment process and design comprehensive orientation programs for new hires.
  9. Additional Duties: Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
