Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to oversee the pediatric respiratory therapy team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year in a leadership role and two years of recent clinical experience in pediatric acute care. This position is salaried and will require flexibility in shift scheduling based on departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Leadership: Oversee clinical operations by planning, monitoring, and guiding the respiratory care team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  2. Quality Assurance: Assist with operational functions including patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.
  3. Staff Management: Manage scheduling for respiratory care staff, ensuring timely and accurate posting of shifts and monitoring volume trends.
  4. Problem Resolution: Analyze critical situations, apply sound judgment, and implement improvements to enhance patient care.
  5. Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating leadership skills to foster trust and credibility among team members.
  6. Performance Evaluation: Regularly assess staff performance, providing coaching, feedback, and recognition as needed.
  7. Time Management: Monitor and manage time and attendance records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  8. Orientation and Training: Assist in the design and implementation of new employee orientation plans.
