Position Overview:

Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking experienced candidates for the role of Pilot in Command (PIC) for our EMB-550 aircraft. This position is based in Saint Paul, MN, and is part of a dedicated team managing a three-aircraft account with multiple pilots and maintenance support.

Key Responsibilities:

Flight Safety and Compliance:

  • Oversee all aspects of flight operations to ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct thorough flight planning, including performance calculations and weight assessments.
  • Lead pre-flight briefings using Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to minimize operational risks.
  • Ensure all pre-flight checks are completed, including maintenance status and aircraft readiness.
  • Coordinate ground servicing tasks to guarantee operational efficiency.
  • Deliver comprehensive passenger briefings and provide exceptional customer service, accommodating any special needs.
  • Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles to foster effective communication among crew members during all phases of flight.

Exceptional Service Delivery:

  • Maintain high standards of service for owners and passengers, actively seeking opportunities to enhance the overall experience.
  • Collaborate with team members and internal partners to ensure consistent service delivery and resolve any issues that arise.

Training and Compliance Maintenance:

  • Stay current with regulatory and company training requirements to maintain proficiency.
  • Report any safety concerns or compliance issues through the appropriate channels.
Qualifications:

Certifications: First Class Medical Certificate required.

Experience: 4-6 years in aviation, with a focus on corporate or business aviation preferred.

Flight Hours: Minimum total flight time of 3500 hours, including:

  • 1500 hours Multi Engine Land (MEL)
  • 2000 hours as Pilot in Command
  • 500 hours PIC MEL
  • 300 hours Instrument
  • 500 hours Jet
