Position PurposeWe are seeking experienced candidates for the role of Pilot in Command (PIC) for our EMB-550 aircraft, based in Saint Paul, MN. This position involves managing a three-aircraft account with a team of eight pilots, supported by three dedicated Maintenance Technicians.
The PIC is accountable for ensuring the aircraft is operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory and company standards while providing an outstanding service experience.
Note: This position requires residency within a reasonable commuting distance to the operational base.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnsuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Oversee compliance with crewing and trip assignments according to company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct thorough flight planning, performance assessments, and weight and balance calculations as necessary.
- Utilize Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with relevant personnel as needed.
- Complete all pre-flight checks, including assessing the aircraft's maintenance status to confirm mission readiness.
- Monitor and ensure all ground servicing tasks (e.g., fueling, oil checks) are performed according to SOPs.
- Conduct passenger briefings in line with company policy and regulatory requirements, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Employ Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) techniques to communicate effectively with crew and support staff during all phases of flight.
Delivering Exceptional Service:
- Provide high-quality service to clients and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the overall service experience.
- Collaborate with crew members and internal partners to ensure a consistent service delivery, effectively resolving any conflicts or challenges.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Stay current with regulatory and company-required training and maintain recency of experience.
- Participate in the company Safety Management System (SMS) and report any safety or compliance issues through the appropriate channels.
Must possess a First Class Medical Certificate.
Experience Requirements4-6 years of relevant experience in aviation.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualifications- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet is required.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Total flight time: 3500 hours.
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours.
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours.
- PIC MEL: 500 hours.
- Instrument: 300 hours.
- Jet: 500 hours.
