Position OverviewWe are currently seeking experienced candidates for the role of Pilot in Command (PIC) for an EMB-550 aircraft. This position is based in a dynamic environment with a three-aircraft account supported by a dedicated team of maintenance technicians and pilots.
The PIC is ultimately responsible for ensuring the aircraft is operated safely, in compliance with regulations, and efficiently. This role involves adhering to all company policies while providing an exceptional service experience to our clients.
Note: This position requires residency within a reasonable commuting distance to the operational base.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnsuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Guarantee that crew assignments and trip planning meet all regulatory and company standards.
- Conduct thorough flight planning, performance assessments, and weight and balance calculations as necessary.
- Utilize the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborate with relevant personnel as needed. Act as the Security Coordinator for both ground and in-flight operations as per company guidelines.
- Complete all pre-flight checks, ensuring the aircraft is in optimal condition and record any discrepancies following SOPs.
- Oversee all ground servicing tasks, including fueling and maintenance checks, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
- Conduct passenger briefings in line with company policy and regulatory requirements, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
- Employ Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) strategies to communicate effectively with crew and support staff during all phases of flight.
Providing Exceptional Service:
- Deliver high-quality service to clients and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the overall experience.
- Work collaboratively with crew members and internal partners to ensure a consistent service delivery, addressing any conflicts or challenges professionally.
Maintaining Compliance and Proficiency:
- Stay current with all regulatory and company-required training and experience requirements.
- Participate in the company Safety Management System (SMS) and report any safety or compliance issues through the designated channels.
Must possess a First Class Medical Certificate.
Experience Requirements4-6 years of relevant experience in aviation.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type rating for the applicable aircraft fleet is required.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Total flight time: 3500 hours.
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours.
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours.
- PIC MEL: 500 hours.
- Instrument: 300 hours.
- Jet: 500 hours.
