Job Title: Full-Charge Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join our team at Covan Group. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical part in managing our records, ensuring accuracy, and providing insightful financial reports that contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with DCAA requirements and regulations, including indirect rates and Incurred Cost Model (ICE).
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
  • Collaborate with program managers to provide financial guidance and support.
  • Manage and reconcile financial transactions, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in government contract bookkeeping, with a deep understanding of DCAA requirements and experience in creating indirect rates and Incurred Cost Model (ICE).
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, including but not limited to: establishing and maintaining a chart of accounts, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, handling cost of goods sold, payroll, and balance sheet and general ledger postings.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights that drive client success.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, with expertise in using Excel for data analysis, financial reporting, and spreadsheet management.
  • Experience with SAP Concur and other financial software systems.
