Department Overview:

The Mechanical & Reliability Systems and Prototype Development Department is at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions for electronic prototypes tailored for advanced sensing, communication, and navigation systems. Our expertise spans ground, airborne, and maritime systems.

Our engineers play a pivotal role in every phase of prototype and system development, from initial conceptual design through detailed design, system integration, testing, fabrication, and environmental assessments.


Position Summary:

Join our team to spearhead reliability, maintainability, and availability (RMA) engineering analyses for various government programs that encompass a wide range of technologies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and develop RMA requirements for new complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Conduct RMA modeling and analyses for systems.
  • Perform Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
  • Engage in design reviews and assessments.
  • Contribute to test planning and evaluations.
  • Evaluate failure analyses, corrective actions, and reliability growth metrics.
  • Conduct field evaluations and provide sustainment support, including sparing and obsolescence risk analyses.
  • Review production testing plans, including Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and lot sampling strategies.

Basic Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • B.S. in engineering with a background in RMA, operations research, or systems engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in RMA predictions and modeling techniques.
  • 5+ years of experience with FMECA.
  • 5+ years of experience with the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) process.
  • 5+ years of experience in RMA testing, including reliability growth, qualification, and production testing.
  • Ability to formulate RMA requirements based on user mission concepts.
  • Familiarity with software reliability concepts and RMA software tools.
  • Understanding of digital engineering principles such as SysML and other model architectures.
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site work.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced engineering degree (M.S. or PhD) with a focus on RMA.
  • 10+ years of experience in reliability engineering activities.
  • Knowledge of reliability growth theory and tools, along with RMA testing.
  • Experience in leading engineering tasks.
  • Experience in proposing RMA infrastructure and technology development initiatives.
