Recreation Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Tenet Massachusetts. As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing Therapeutic Recreation programs to increase, maintain, or restore functions, maximize or prevent disability, and assist patients in reaching their maximum performance levels in the areas of leisure education, adaptive recreation, and recreational activities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Administration, or an equivalent program, and be certification-eligible by the Consortium for Therapeutic Recreation/Activity Certification (CTRS) or National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC). Previous experience as a Recreation Therapist is preferred.

As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote optimal health and well-being. You will also be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing diversionary activity programs, and supporting efforts for patient social integration during rehabilitation stays.
