About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Merchant Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and customer satisfaction through strategic category management and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category strategies to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Lead business development initiatives to recruit strategic sellers and drive sales in new categories
  • Manage large sellers and enhance the overall seller experience through better self-service and reporting resources
  • Lead a variety of projects that impact both Consumer Electronics and the broader US business
  • Innovate with our sellers to drive optimal customer experience across the business
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to earn trust and articulate complex ideas effectively
  • Strong business judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering results
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Excel and data analysis
  • Operates as a team player, likes to have fun at work, and has a positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or related Master's
  • P&L responsibility and experience delivering strong financial results
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects (prioritization, planning, and task delegation)
  • Excellent analytical and data-mining aptitude
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates creative problem-solving by adapting frameworks or existing practices to create useful solutions
  • Proven ability to manage large and complicated projects with experience leading cross-functional projects and teams
  • Strong proficiency in business statistics and data analytics
  • Basic SQL proficiency

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $126,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $208,800/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
