We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration Account Management Engineer to join our team at Contact Government Services, LLC. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for maintaining an accurate software portfolio inventory and ensuring that software is identified, controlled, and properly cared for throughout its lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain inventory records that include owner, software name, license information, and period of performance in coordination with Configuration Management practices.
  • Ensure that software is identified, controlled, and properly cared for throughout its lifecycle.
  • Avoid unnecessary asset purchases by promoting software functionality analysis/comparisons to avoid duplicative software.
  • Avoid overdeployment of software.
  • Ensure software is accepted and licensed.
  • Properly plan for the renewal of software licenses in support of the Program's Configuration Management practices.
  • Apply a continuous improvement approach in enhancing the strategies employed in technology spending, as well as in tracking assets within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) throughout their cycle.
  • Support the management of the CMDB and ensure the content contained is accurate.
  • Support the configuration management practices of identifying hardware and software-related assets as well as CIs, including versioning and dependencies in the asset management tools, attributes, the Contract management library, and the CMDB.
  • Manage inventory of CIs and assets, including dependencies and attributes, making sure that modifications, withdrawals, and additions of existing ones are correctly recorded by the teams in charge in the tools to ensure that the vendor contracts are complied with.
  • Support the lifecycle management of hardware and software until their retirement.
  • Generate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports on current assets and GIs and their status.
  • Perform verification and audit CMDB content.
  • Verify software assets with license contracts, confirm hardware assets with actual inventory, and initiate corrective actions and track them.
  • Manage activities concerning license compliance audits to be able to answer requests from software editors effectively.
  • Ensure process efficiency by implementing the key performance indicators; suggest improvements to the process continuously.
  • Design processes relating to software and hardware asset management, execute, and enhance them.
  • Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management.
  • Take part in other ITSM processes, or as required perform as a backup to maintain operational activities.
  • Create and execute governance and strategic asset management functions.
  • Perform research on industry best practices and incorporate it with organizational practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or 8 years of work or equivalent experience.
  • Firm understanding and practice experience with ITIL and configuration management best practices.
  • Firm understanding and practice experience with managing and maintaining a software library to include SLAs and warranties.
  • Comfortable and have experience working with various software vendors and vendor licensing models.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management experience or support experience.
