Job DescriptionThe Emergency Response Staff Attorney will play a critical role in our emergency response program, providing critical support to survivors of human trafficking. This includes conducting factual intakes, assessing legal needs, and providing direct representation to those who need it most.

This role requires a deep understanding of human rights principles, trauma-informed care, and effective case management. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a passion for justice.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Respond to calls to the Cast 24-hour hotline during required shifts by conducting factual intakes of potential victims.
  2. Assess short-term and long-term legal needs of survivors.
  3. Provide direct representation to survivors of human trafficking.

Requirements
  1. Active membership in the California State Bar required.
  2. Commitment to serving the needs of trafficked persons, migrants, and low-wage workers.
  3. Ability to develop cooperative relationships with other legal service providers.

Compensation$85,000 - $110,000 per year. Benefits include medical, life, disability, sick/vacation time, and a 403(b) plan.
