Company OverviewJenesse is a nonprofit domestic violence intervention and prevention organization dedicated to restoring and providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive holistic services to survivors and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Case Manager Coordinator to join our team in the Family Wellness Department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary staff, you will provide crisis counseling, case management, advocacy, support, and follow-up services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
- Facilitate overall needs assessment (safety, housing, legal, health, vocational, and mental health);
- Develop individual, holistic case plans with tasks, goals, and timeframes for accomplishment;
- Support clients by helping them access options that enable their healing process, including establishing safe contact systems, maintaining confidentiality, securing basic resources, and collaborating with credible agencies;
- Mobilize and coordinate Jenesse community resources to assist assigned clients;
- Work with counselors, housing advocates, and children's program coordinators to ensure client goals are met;
- Advocate for fair and equitable treatment at various helping agencies;
- Ensure accurate records of all client-related contacts;
- Participate in case conferences, consultations, and other client-related meetings;
- Conduct follow-up with clients up to a year after exiting the program;
- Maintain relationships with outside agencies for enhancing and improving services;
To be successful as a Case Manager Coordinator, you must have a BA in Psychology or Social Work, strong communication skills, and the ability to function within a multicultural, multi-ethnic crisis center setting. You should also be a creative problem-solver, knowledgeable about domestic violence issues, and able to work with minimal supervision.
