Treasury Associate Specialist

Position Overview:
The Treasury Associate Specialist is an integral member of Ashland's Treasury division, focusing primarily on the reconciliation of banking activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct reconciliation of bank accounts across Ashland's global entities including Asia, EMEA, North America, and South America.
- Retrieve electronic bank statement files from various banking platforms and manage statement uploads and storage via shared drives.
- Ensure accurate and timely loading and posting of electronic bank statement transactions.
- Perform manual entry and clearing of bank statements.
- Compare bank statement data with the general ledger, investigate discrepancies, and prepare necessary correcting entries.
- Follow up on outstanding items and generate weekly reports on open items.
- Assist with bank statement requests and provide document entry support to various departments, as well as internal and external audit teams.
- Collaborate closely with the cash application and cash management teams regarding open items.
Qualifications:
- An internationally recognized degree.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in treasury, accounting, or banking.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Familiarity with SAP software.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A customer-focused and service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Capable of working independently, remotely, and with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable operating in a multicultural setting.
- Ability to perform well under pressure with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
