About the Role:

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in a school setting. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing students' communication skills, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess students' communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, to identify communication disorders and develop recommendations for treatment.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to communicate information, resolve issues, and provide services in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, including progress reports, activity logs, and billing information.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certification: Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of assignment required. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
  • Skills and Experience: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and proficiency in English language.
  • Professional Development: Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
