About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Institute for the Redesign of Learning. As an SLP, you will play a critical role in providing speech and language services to students with special needs, helping them to unlock their full potential and achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized speech and language plans for students, aligned with their IEP goals and objectives.
  • Administer assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and areas of need.
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including individual and group therapy sessions, as well as consultation with teachers and other professionals.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support for students, including occupational therapy, physical therapy, and mental health services.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and involve them in the treatment planning process.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology, and incorporate this knowledge into your practice.
Requirements
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • California licensure as an SLP.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder, emotional disturbances, and other health impairments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
