Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager at Tapestry, Inc. is a key leadership role that requires a high level of business acumen and strategic thinking. As a member of the store management team, this individual will be responsible for driving sales results through employee development and mentorship, while also ensuring operational efficiencies and maintaining Coach's high standards and competencies.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth across all categories, including product development and inventory management.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the store manager to develop and execute clienteling strategies to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Operations and Logistics
- Oversee daily store operations, including sales floor management, visual merchandising, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including loss prevention and safety protocols.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure excellent customer service and sales results.
- Leadership and Development
- Recruit, train, and develop a team of sales associates and sales leaders to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement training programs to enhance sales and customer service skills.
- Provide coaching and feedback to team members to ensure they meet sales and customer service targets.
- Experience: 1-3 years of previous management experience in a luxury retail environment, preferably with a strong understanding of fashion trends and competition.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Technical: Proficient in MS Office and retail systems, including labor management, inventory systems, and sales reporting.
- Physical: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.
- Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with high retail traffic and sales days.
