Role Overview

The Senior Biomedical Equipment Technician is responsible for performing cost-efficient maintenance on both company-owned and client-owned medical devices, primarily at client locations. This role is crucial in ensuring that all equipment operates effectively and meets the needs of our clients. Responsibilities include conducting operational checks, preventive maintenance, and necessary repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough inspections, maintenance, calibration, and repair of various medical devices.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all documentation and data entry for billing and compliance purposes.
  • Engage with clinical staff to discuss equipment features and functionality.

Qualifications Required

  • An associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology, or equivalent military training or certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).
  • Expertise in specialized equipment areas such as anesthesia, imaging, network-smart technology, and sterilization processes.
  • Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of medical equipment.
  • A valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record in accordance with company policies.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capability to provide technical training and mentorship to colleagues in areas such as equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to supervise and guide other biomedical personnel.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as required.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet business requirements.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and perform various physical activities for extended periods.
