Role Overview

The Senior Biomedical Equipment Technician is responsible for performing efficient maintenance on both company-owned and client-owned medical devices, primarily at customer locations, to guarantee their proper functionality and alignment with client requirements. This role includes conducting operational checks, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough inspections, maintenance, calibration, and repair of various medical devices in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all documentation and data entry for billing and compliance purposes.
  • Engage with clinical staff regarding equipment features and functionalities.

Qualifications Required

  • An associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology, or equivalent military training or certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).
  • Expertise in specialized equipment areas such as anesthesia, imaging, network-smart technology, respiratory devices, and sterilizers, along with a strong understanding of service programs and contractual obligations.
  • Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of general equipment.
  • A valid and unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record as per Agiliti policies.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capability to provide technical training and mentorship to colleagues in areas such as equipment operation, maintenance procedures, quality management, and ISO standards.
  • Ability to supervise other biomedical personnel and staff.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours to support a 24/7 operation.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet business requirements.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and to engage in various physical activities for extended periods.
