Job Overview

The Superintendent will oversee superintendents, foremen, and multiple crews to implement medium to large-scale electrical system installations. Responsibilities include managing work sequencing, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring the safe, timely completion of projects. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with prior experience managing multiple crews across various sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effective communication between Brytemove personnel, subcontractors, and project management.
  • Reviewing project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with approved designs.
  • Partnering with Project Managers to resolve issues, optimize efficiency, and meet project goals.
  • Recommending procedural changes based on cost, quality, and material availability.
  • Managing project resources, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Daily manpower reporting, scheduling, and forecasting project needs.
  • Ensuring project work aligns with specifications, schedule, and safety standards.
  • Providing daily updates on manpower, resources, and project status to the Director of Operations.
  • Enforcing safety protocols and stop work authority for any violations.
  • Managing project labor hours to ensure profitability and attending weekly man-hour meetings.
  • Promoting Brytemove's values, including diversity, teamwork, and respect.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships, resulting in repeat business and referrals.
  • Participating in Brytemove's Injury Prevention and Safety program to support a zero-injury culture.
  • Completing internal administrative tasks, including project logs and documentation.
  • Leading by example in upholding Brytemove's core values and conducting performance management.
  • Ensuring accurate timecard submissions and compliance with state laws for breaks.
  • Conducting employee reviews and overseeing LMS Safety Skills Training completion.
  • Coordinating with utility companies for project energization and verifying testing procedures.
  • Maintaining updated plan sets and ensuring accuracy in project documentation.
  • Conducting site audits to ensure safety and job site cleanliness.
  • Overseeing field personnel's tool and equipment usage, ensuring proper operation and maintenance.
  • Verifying certifications for personnel operating equipment and ensuring all tools meet safety standards.
  • Leading milestone inspections per the company's Quality Control Program.
  • Ensuring adherence to the No Hot Work Policy and coordinating energized work only with qualified personnel.
  • Reporting project milestones and additional work impacts to the PM.
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience as a lead project superintendent.
  • OSHA 30 Hour and First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).
  • NFPA CESC preferred.
  • Knowledge of California and National Electric Codes.
  • Commercial electrical experience with strong leadership and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel outside of Orange County/LA area as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in leading construction teams and maintaining a safety-focused culture.
  • BA/BS or equivalent (preferred).
  • Master Electrician certification and General Electrician License in California.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean record.
Work Environment

This role involves variable work environments, including indoor and outdoor settings. Employees must meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 25 pounds, working at heights, and operating various tools and equipment safely. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
