Position Overview:

We are seeking a visionary Senior Performance Footwear Designer to join our innovative team. This pivotal role is essential in advancing our mission, integrating state-of-the-art technologies, and ensuring our athletes maintain a competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Leadership: Spearhead the creation of footwear concepts that drive category innovation, focusing on designs that will impact the market 36-48 months ahead.
  • Fostering Innovation: Promote a culture of creativity and professional development within the design team, encouraging the exploration of unconventional ideas.
  • Narrative Development: Communicate the rationale behind design choices, crafting engaging stories that resonate with the team, brand, and consumers.
  • Hands-On Creation: Embrace risk-taking and problem-solving, utilizing a range of tools from sketches to 3D modeling and rapid prototyping to facilitate a fast-paced learning environment.
  • Innovative Realization: Transform ideas into tangible prototypes, driving innovation through advanced materials and manufacturing techniques, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strategic Brand Alignment: Ensure that all footwear designs align with long-term brand strategies and business objectives, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in industrial design or a related field, with a specialization in footwear design being highly desirable.
  • Professional Experience: 6-8 years of footwear design experience, showcasing a successful track record in performance product development.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience in leading design projects and managing teams is preferred.
  • Portfolio Requirements: A robust portfolio that highlights a diverse range of successful footwear designs, demonstrating creativity and technical proficiency.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and emerging AI tools.
  • Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • 3D Design Experience: Proficiency in 3D design and prototyping tools is essential.
  • Strategic Planning: Strong strategic thinking abilities to align design initiatives with business goals.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate design concepts.
