Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
- Conduct regular visits to food service locations to ensure operational standards are met and address any urgent issues as they arise.
- Provide training to food service staff and management on best practices and company policies to optimize performance.
- Ensure compliance with food service branding requirements at all times.
- Maintain high standards of performance on all brand inspections.
- Follow up on inspection results to ensure corrective actions are implemented and retraining occurs as necessary.
- Monitor food costs to meet or exceed budgetary goals through effective inventory management and portion control.
- Collaborate with location managers on maintenance, supplies, and improvements to enhance service quality.
- Facilitate monthly meetings with managers to discuss operational developments, promotions, HR matters, safety topics, and growth strategies.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions and share knowledge with team members, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Food Service District Manager.
Communication
- Articulate the strategies of Energy North Group with enthusiasm to inspire all levels of the organization.
- Ensure adherence to all requirements set forth by food service brands.
- Communicate essential strategies, procedures, and initiatives to relevant stakeholders as needed.
- Regularly update the Food Service District Manager on project statuses, challenges, and tactical adjustments.
Merchandising, Promotions, and Inventory Management
- Implement all promotional activities as directed by the marketing team and brand partners.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure consistency in menu item recipes across operations.
- Provide constructive feedback on promotions to enhance effectiveness.
- Foster strong relationships with food service vendors to support operational success.
- Ensure compliance with pricing policies and maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Oversee inventory counts as required by the brands and Energy North.
Personnel Management
- Communicate merchandising principles to ensure a consistent customer experience across locations.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to implement training programs for all food service personnel.
- Ensure compliance with hiring practices in accordance with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Participate in the hiring process for Food Service Managers and assist in candidate evaluations.
- Conduct performance evaluations to support employee development and address performance issues.
- Facilitate ongoing training to enhance employee skills and promote career advancement.
- Maintain open lines of communication with employees to address concerns promptly.
Labor Management
- Review labor schedules to align with authorized hours and operational needs.
- Set clear expectations and monitor results to ensure accountability.
Confidentiality
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive financial information related to the company and its stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
- Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and guide teams in implementing company initiatives.
- Effective negotiation skills to achieve optimal results for Energy North Group.
- Proven problem-solving abilities to address business challenges.
- Experience in designing and implementing operational programs for effective management.
- Results-oriented with a proactive approach to responsibilities.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Current Safe-Serve certification is required.
- A minimum of eight years of experience in the food service industry is necessary.
- At least four years of experience in quick-service restaurant management is required.
- Enthusiastic self-starter with a positive attitude and high level of confidence.
Work Environment
This is a salaried position requiring flexibility for weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts. Travel may be necessary.
