Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  1. Conduct regular visits to food service locations to ensure operational standards are met and address any urgent issues as they arise.
  2. Provide training to food service staff and management on best practices and company policies to optimize performance.
  3. Ensure compliance with food service branding requirements at all times.
  4. Maintain high standards of performance on all brand inspections.
  5. Follow up on inspection results to ensure corrective actions are implemented and retraining occurs as necessary.
  6. Monitor food costs to meet or exceed budgetary goals through effective inventory management and portion control.
  7. Collaborate with location managers on maintenance, supplies, and improvements to enhance service quality.
  8. Facilitate monthly meetings with managers to discuss operational developments, promotions, HR matters, safety topics, and growth strategies.
  9. Participate in ongoing training sessions and share knowledge with team members, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Food Service District Manager.

Communication

  1. Articulate the strategies of Energy North Group with enthusiasm to inspire all levels of the organization.
  2. Ensure adherence to all requirements set forth by food service brands.
  3. Communicate essential strategies, procedures, and initiatives to relevant stakeholders as needed.
  4. Regularly update the Food Service District Manager on project statuses, challenges, and tactical adjustments.

Merchandising, Promotions, and Inventory Management

  1. Implement all promotional activities as directed by the marketing team and brand partners.
  2. Work closely with the marketing team to ensure consistency in menu item recipes across operations.
  3. Provide constructive feedback on promotions to enhance effectiveness.
  4. Foster strong relationships with food service vendors to support operational success.
  5. Ensure compliance with pricing policies and maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  6. Oversee inventory counts as required by the brands and Energy North.

Personnel Management

  1. Communicate merchandising principles to ensure a consistent customer experience across locations.
  2. Collaborate with Human Resources to implement training programs for all food service personnel.
  3. Ensure compliance with hiring practices in accordance with company policies and legal guidelines.
  4. Participate in the hiring process for Food Service Managers and assist in candidate evaluations.
  5. Conduct performance evaluations to support employee development and address performance issues.
  6. Facilitate ongoing training to enhance employee skills and promote career advancement.
  7. Maintain open lines of communication with employees to address concerns promptly.

Labor Management

  1. Review labor schedules to align with authorized hours and operational needs.
  2. Set clear expectations and monitor results to ensure accountability.

Confidentiality

  1. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive financial information related to the company and its stakeholders.
Qualifications

Skills and Experience

  1. Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and guide teams in implementing company initiatives.
  2. Effective negotiation skills to achieve optimal results for Energy North Group.
  3. Proven problem-solving abilities to address business challenges.
  4. Experience in designing and implementing operational programs for effective management.
  5. Results-oriented with a proactive approach to responsibilities.
  6. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Current Safe-Serve certification is required.
  9. A minimum of eight years of experience in the food service industry is necessary.
  10. At least four years of experience in quick-service restaurant management is required.
  11. Enthusiastic self-starter with a positive attitude and high level of confidence.

Work Environment

This is a salaried position requiring flexibility for weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts. Travel may be necessary.
