Job OverviewPosition: Strategic Sourcing Advisor

As a Strategic Sourcing Advisor at AugmentJobs, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the procurement frameworks of organizations. Your expertise will assist in refining supplier interactions and driving significant cost efficiencies. This position requires a thorough analysis of existing procurement methodologies, the formulation of strategies to boost operational efficiency, and the facilitation of the adoption of optimal procurement practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess current procurement methodologies, policies, and practices to pinpoint inefficiencies, potential cost reductions, and areas for enhancement.
  • Formulate and propose procurement strategies that resonate with organizational objectives, encompassing sourcing tactics, supplier oversight, and contract negotiations.
  • Support the identification, selection, and management of suppliers, which includes evaluating supplier performance, negotiating terms, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Uncover and implement cost-reduction strategies through strategic sourcing, volume consolidation, and workflow enhancements.
  • Design and execute process enhancements to optimize procurement workflows, improve efficiency, and shorten cycle times.
  • Advise on and assist in the deployment of procurement technology solutions, such as e-procurement systems, spend analysis tools, and automation technologies.
  • Evaluate and manage procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, compliance challenges, and contractual uncertainties.
  • Collaborate closely with client teams and stakeholders to comprehend their requirements, gather specifications, and ensure alignment with procurement strategies and objectives.
  • Create and deliver training programs and materials to bolster procurement expertise and knowledge within client organizations.
  • Compile reports and presentations that summarize findings, recommendations, and progress for clients and senior management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related discipline; advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or consulting roles.
  • In-depth understanding of procurement methodologies, sourcing strategies, and supplier management practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in crafting and executing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and formulate actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging stakeholders and managing change effectively.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, including ERP systems, spend analytics, and e-procurement platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for client engagements.
