Job Summary:
Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled Central Denials Account Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough account reviews to determine the appropriate action needed to resolve account balances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze electronic files, medical records, and other relevant documents to determine the cause of account denials.
- Make outbound calls to insurance companies to resolve claim denials and account balances.
- Perform non-clinical appeals and resubmit corrected claims and supporting documentation as needed.
- Communicate with other organizational departments to ensure proper handling of patient accounts.
- Escalate payer issues and trends to a supervisor with the appropriate information or take appropriate action to resolve the matter.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of medical provider experience working with UB04, appeals, and denials.
